After a wonderful night celebrating Seany’s birthday out & about in Mornington on Friday night. We had family event after family event the whole weekend. Which was absolutely lovely and a welcome distraction to take my mind of the impending Oncologist appointment Monday morning. This was the big one, to get my recent MRI results and see what Terry (the bastard) has been up to since his television debut, I was afraid stardom might have got the better of him. I was also nervous for the fact that this scan only had two rounds of chemo treatment in it, all prior scans had 3. (Don’t even start on my thoughts for the next one, which will have no active treatment…eeek!).
I have never felt so anxious as I did driving into the hospital on Monday morning for this appointment, Sean graciously informing me that he didn’t know if he was going to vomit or shit himself while we were waiting to go in! Thankfully neither transpired haha. After watching another episode of our latest Netflix binge (Designated Survivor) in the waiting room on my phone to try and pass the time and anxiety which felt like someone doing somersaults in my insides, we finally went in and got the best news we could have really hoped for….
Below is direct (and the most important bit) from the Radiologists report after lots of medical terminology I personally didn’t understand:
Conclusion
“Stable non-enhancing disease. Further reduction in volume enhancing nodule suggesting favourable treatment response” .
Safe to say, we were absolutely thrilled!!! What an absolute relief. Terry is behaving and looks to be getting the message loud and clear he’s not wanted and I can continue to enjoy life and all its colour that it brings.

Next MRI scheduled for 3mths time. With the hope then we can put them out to 6mths between scans. I will never be rid of Terry completely but as long as he continues to behave that’s ok with me.
This was how I felt when I received the report and read that writing yesterday… πππΌπΎ
